Ways to Get Involved
VOTING MEMBER
As a voting member you will be able to attend our meetings, social events and volunteer projects. You will be able to nominate a nonprofit and have one vote for our annual grant give.
Investment: $60/year
SUPPORTER
As a supporter you can attend our meetings, social events and volunteer projects. You will be able to nominate a nonprofit for our annual give, but you will not be able to vote on the winner.
Investment: Free
Act Locally Youth
In 2022 we launched our Act Locally Youth summer program for kids of all ages. Similar to Act Locally Golden, the kids nominated local nonprofits and voted on who they would sponsor. Each voting member agreed to donate $10 to the winning nonprofit. We had 15 kids and teens participate. They nominated several nonprofits and, after two rounds of voting, there was a tie (twice!) between The Center on Colfax's Rainbow Alley program and Ukrainians of Colorado, so they raised money for both.
In addition to their $10 dues that were donated, they hosted two lemonade stands, a flower and bake sale, and an art sale and auction. They also visited The Center on Colfax and worked on a special project with Ukrainians of Colorado.
We did not have Act Locally Youth in 2023 or 2024 but plan to bring it back in 2025.
